Made to bring nature home.
Dwelden is the shared creative project of husband and wife duo Ben Grace and Alex Tailor.
The pair met in Rhode Island, moved west to California, and have been making things together ever since.
New Horizons
After working in Los Angeles for several years, Ben and Alex realized they wanted a life closer to nature, one that felt simpler and calmer than the grind many young creatives face. Their search led them to Ojai, a small artist community where creativity and slow living shape daily life.
Ben’s background in architecture and 3D design influences how he sees the world— through structure, connection, and form. Alex has an eye for branding and systems, bringing bright ideas to life.
Dwelden is an evolving experiment in how light, material, and good design shape the spaces we call home.
Why Lights
We think a lamp should do more than light a corner. It should improve the way we experience space. Where most lighting is either pretty to look at or purely practical, we wanted both.
The right glow can take the edge off a long day, make a room feel alive, or help us focus on an important task.
So, we design lamps shaped by nature and built for hands-on assembly— because good design should shift your state of mind, not just your décor.
What's Next
Lamps are just the beginning.
We’ve set our sights on exploring modular furniture that flexes with your space, thoughtful home gadgets that make life smoother, and collaborations with artists who challenge us to see things differently.
Dwelden is an invitation to stay curious, touch grass, and see home with a fresh perspective.
